What a native crypto ad is
A native ad is made from content, not from a finished image. You give us a short headline, a one-line description, a square logo or image and a link. When a player opens a page in one of our games, the ad is rendered in the style of that page: its fonts, its spacing, its colors. It is always clearly labelled as an ad, but it reads as part of the game rather than as a box bolted onto it.
Here is the same ad shown in three different placements:
Why native instead of banners
Most people who spend time online have learned to look past rectangles that look like ads. That habit is often called banner blindness. Native ads work around it by matching the page they sit on, so players actually read them.
- They get read. Text in the style of the game is processed like the rest of the page, not filtered out as a banner.
- No design work. You don't need a designer to produce four banner sizes. Write two lines and add your logo.
- Faster to change. New listing, new milestone, new campaign? Edit the headline and your ad is updated after review.
- Better on mobile. Banners are often tiny or cropped on phones. A native ad is laid out for the screen it lands on.
How responsive placement works
Every ad slot in our games has a different shape. Instead of asking you for a creative per shape, the ad unit reads the space it has and picks a layout:
- Wide slots such as content areas and leaderboards show your image, headline, description and a call-to-action button in one row.
- Narrow slots such as sidebars and side panels stack the button under the text so nothing is squeezed.
- Compact slots such as small in-game spots and mobile rows keep the image and headline, shorten the description to one line and hide the button. The whole ad stays clickable.
You can see this live in the ad preview on our homepage: type your own headline, upload your logo and switch between placements.

Writing an ad that gets clicked
With only two lines of text, every word counts. A few rules that work well for crypto and web3 projects:
- Lead with your name or ticker. Players recognize names. "$TICKER now on Base" beats "A new opportunity".
- Say what it is, not how great it is. "Non-custodial wallet for gamers" tells a player more than "The best wallet ever".
- Use the description for the reason to click. A launch date, a new feature, a game integration, a community event.
- Pick a logo that reads at 40 px. Your image will often be shown small. A bold mark on a plain background works best.
- Keep claims factual. No promises of returns or price movement. Ads like that are rejected in review, and honest ads build more trust with players anyway.
- Test two versions. Run two headlines side by side for a few days and keep the one with the better click rate.
Pricing and payment
Native ads start at $6 per 1,000 impressions for network-wide delivery. If you want to reach specific countries, geo targeting is available at a surcharge on top of the base CPM. Your exact rate is shown in the dashboard before a campaign starts.
Campaigns run from a prepaid ad wallet. You top up with a major payment method or with Bitcoin, and every top-up is invoiced by Forest Road B.V. Your first top-up is doubled once: top up $500 and you get $1,000 of ad credit, about 166,666 impressions at the base rate. Top-ups are non-refundable.
